Your view on plastic surgery

~PLASTIC SURGERY~

It could be personal (as in you yourself would/wouldn't get it) or just general (as in your overall opinion on the topic).

Although you can mention certain situations where it is concerning the treatment of injury, but the poll is covering vanity.

What do you feel concerning plastic surgery?

AWW YISSSS. Let the people do whatever they want. It's their body. 17
Eh. It's alright as long as it makes the person happy. 28
It's stupid. Love what your given. 22
Only a narcissistic, self-obbessed person would ever consider it. 7

You honestly don't give a shit what awful things people do to themselves if they can afford it?

It's their money and their body, dude. Some people consider my tattoo to be an awful thing I've done to myself - some justify it by saying I risked getting a disease like hepatitis. It's all relative and hell, some people get plastic surgery and it's not a big deal.

So then, no. You don't give a shit about the society around you.

I just don't give a shit about what insecure middle aged yuppies do with their money, there are far worse hobbies to have.

I would never do it but if someone else wants to fuck their face up, who am I to tell them they can't.

So long as it's not on the face then cool. Quite frankly as much as people may claim it's not right, it makes the porn industry go round. And people do so love their porn.

I think people should learn to accept themselves for the way they are.

But your opinion changes when it comes to transsexuals, right?

No. People should be happy for how they are: male, female, black, white, asian, and so on. What are we proving to people by encouraging false ideals of what appears right and "beautiful" versus what nature intended them to be? The answer is that we're continuing the issue of low self esteem and even self loathing.

But of course, in the end, it's all up to them.

It's not a question of "beauty", it's a question of identify. Some claim that they identify as having been mismatched with their current set of genitals. Should they be encouraged to mutilate themselves with purely cosmetic and elective surgery to fit their mindset?

No. But if that's what they really want you can't stop them.

The question is not if someone should stop them, the question is if it's "right", whatever that means.

I think it's stupid because it's fixing issues that are mental and surgery should never be an option. You're slicing open your skin, breaking bones, shifting them around, inserting object under the skin..for a mental problem.

I can understand if the person has some HUGE noticeable "flaw" as in, their nose is BENT beyond belief, their eyes sag when they're only 20 or one of their boobs is non existent and the other is a DD but other than those...there's no reason. If your nose looks NORMAL, if your boobs are NORMAL, what's the problem?

unless its for the treatment of an injury, having plastic surgery to make yourself look "prettier" sets an unrealistic goal. it lets young girls know that if they dont have a certain "this" or "that" that they wont be pretty enough for men (or women).

This is not a simple matter; it depends of course.

Yeah do what u what. But I think it's unattractive. Fake boobs. Fake nose. Fake nails. Fake hair color. Not good.

  • My wife has big tits, but if they were small there is no way she would consider plastic surgery to enlarge them. So many problems in later life for those who have done it resulting in danger to life.

I don't like the idea of doing it out of frivolity instead of necessity.

There's meaning to giving someone facial reconstruction surgery after a tragic accident or something similar. It's just vain to get plastic surgery when you really don't need it and you're just not happy with what you already have.

In general, I have a preference for the natural, but I'm not opposed to someone getting something done to look better.

Plastic surgery to improve the looks of people who've been in an injury and people with abnormally formed faces/bodies, is a different matter.
Plastic surgery to improve the lives of transgender people is also a different matter.
In these cases I would be prone to agreeing with plastic surgery as a good idea.

But in all cases it also depends on the type of surgery, i.e., whether it's a boob job, reconstruction surgery, SRS, or something else.

I prefer Big Naturals but fake boobs are OK to, but I'm not into the face lifts, it makes people look weird.

I see no problem with others getting plastic surgery. Heck, if I could afford it, I'd get my breasts lifted. One of them isn't perky anymore after dropping a shitload of weight.

Cheaper option is have a guy hold them for you

I have a bra that holds them up just fine thank you.

        But wait...

A guy is cheaper than a bra holding them. But what if the bra is actually a guy? Is the guy someone who sold his soul to an evil mythical being who granted him the ability to become any style of bra he wanted? Am I wearing said guy now?! Should I be scared?!
