" regrets I've had a few "
Story of my life, for me especially in the romance department so join me in either/or self pity or humbling experience that fought us something about life, so, what regrets do you have iin? And is it normal to constantly think about the missed opportunities?
There was this beautiful girl working on the Yankee Clipper, that we met in Martinique. My second wife (before we were married) was 8 months pregnant and this girl made a play for me. She was much more into boats and a much better sailor than my wife; most certainly a much better match for me. Even my wife realized this and she did push me towards this gal, a bit.
I did not even go out with this girl and she moved on after a week or so.
That wife and I eventually separated because she wanted the white picket fence, 2.3 kids and a minivan; a life that would have killed my spirit in no time.
I've always wondered what my life would have been like, had I chosen that gal, instead.
Not to say I would change a thing, because what I have now is far more than any man could hope for, at my age.
The only regrets I have are from when I was mean or uncaring to people who have cared about me, which doesn't happen that often. Everything else happened because it was right for it to and I don't regret any of it.
