Your opinion on cosmetic surgery.

What is your opinion on Cosmetic Surgery? Would you judge individuals who has had work done (whether they're your friends, co-workers, partner, etc)? If you found out the person you've been pursuing a relationship with had cosmetic work done, would that turn you off and be a deal breaker?

Would it change your perception of them? Even if they did it for themselves.

Thanks for your participation.

It would depend a great deal on the surgery done. Facial reconstruction after an accident I wouldn't mind, nor a bit of rhinoplasty if the gal felt better about herself for it. But bust enlargement would be a total deal breaker!

      What about breast cancer survivors?

I like it when a woman who has gone through a masectomy defies the social convention, and lives without breasts. Granted I can understand why someone would want them back, but to me that shows even more strength.

Hadn't crossed my mind, but then again, I'm w/o breasts. Sure if it makes the woman feel better; it wouldn't be necessary if it was my woman if she didn't want it, though.

Right on. I pretty much support whatever I can for helping cancer patients and survivors.

Only if they pay for it themselves. People have boob jobs on the NHS, which I think is disgusting.

I have a tattoo and it makes me feel happier to be in my own skin. I dye my hair and it makes me happier to be in my own skin, I feel more like myself with this color than I do my natural color. Sometimes I wear make-up to make my eyes stand out.

My point is, if someone wants to do something to make them more comfortable in their own body and they are doing it only to themselves and not subjecting someone else to it then far be it for me to tell them what to spend their money on.

Personally, I don't approve of unnecessary surgeries but hell, your body, your life.

    Other.

I'm kinda between "I don't care as long as it makes that person happy" and "It's their choice, so I don't have an opinion."

my exact opinion is... their money, no one else is being hurt by this so if someone doesn't like it... perhaps the person who hates it should stop being so judgmental

I don't have much an opinion on the matter... I've thought about getting breast implants before, but I'd probably never do it. But since I've considered it i can't blame anyone got wanting to magically change their body. If any of my friends got it, i would be sad that they felt they had to change themselves so drastically and try to make them feel better. I wouldn't let my boyfriend change the gave i fell in love with. As for coworkers - indifferent..if i don't like them i might judge them for it.

some people do it because their stupid and vein but some people do it because they want to feel better about themselves. The reality is that doctors should discourage it when it's not nessacery and do it when it's the right thing to do. Sadly a lot of doctors don't care and just want the money.

I wouldn't judge anyone who had it, but I would usually advise against them having it unless they were disfigured by a disease or an accident etc. Unless someone really is disfigured, I don't think surgery is the solution to the problem of poor body-image.

It's nothing to do with me though, so that's the only opinion I have.

I don't really care. As long as they're happy with themselves and it doesn't look unnatural then I'm fine with it.

any thing can be used negatively as well as positively ,so it depends... if a person having a normal face with no problem would do a surgery then I might just consider it useless and unhealthy ... but if a person having some kind of facial problem or lets say any other problem due to which he considers the option then its good!
moreover after surgery looks are way too fake to me.. I just can't have that natural feeling form them! being your self is far better and I consider embracing what you have already got ..

It depends on the person and the situation. I'd never do it unless it was absolutely necessary, which in most cases, it isn't. Anyway, it's not my problem if another woman wants to do it. Her life, her choice.

I suppose reconstruction following an accident isn't bad. I don't much care for plastic surgery so I probably wouldn't get involved anyone who's had it for a reason that I don't think is legit, especially because it's an expensive habit. However, I don't support telling people what to do with their body regarding plastic surgery and things of that sort.

I'm only comfortable with cosmetic surgery that actually has health benefits. Going to the doctor just because you don't like your face is, in my opinion, complete bullshit and an enormous turn off. However cosmetic surgery to correct irregular deformations that pose a health risk or were the result of an accident or illness or something I think is very reasonable.

It's fine as long as it's well done and subtle. But I don't expect them to talk about it. It's personal and nobody really wants to hear about it. Say you have saddle bags and your clothes don't fit right. Okay, you have liposuction because the problem annoys you. Great. No need to worry about our approval. It's all fine.

I'd never do it and it isn't something that I support but I'm not against it either. It isn't my say so on what some else chooses to do with their own body.

It's lying biologically. You're going to make your children have the pre-surgery traits.

      If it's "lying biologically", then maybe you should also consider piercings, tattoos, the cutting of hair, ect;

All these (including cosmetic surgery) are body modifications. All of which are not natural on the human body.

I think you should consider your opinion on this.

Drastic, unnatural and often unnecessary. At the end of the day, though, it's their choice. I'd mainly just be curious about how much the surgery has changed whatever it's changed. It's not something I care a great deal about, although I think it's something that would occasionally nag at the back of my mind and I'd wonder how they used to look. It makes me a bit uncomfortable.

Either they had very poor self esteem, are incredibly superficial or that they were in an accident or fighting some desiese that was so bad that cosmetic surgery was the only solution.

  • I don't like it. Women use it to transform into fake butt sluts. I only like natural butt sluts. They make my loads turn a yellowish green color and then I have to start taking antibiotics to make it white again.
