Young woman losing hair iin?

It's not as obvious because I used to have really thick hair, but ever since the semester started (college student) I've been really stressed. I wasn't this stressed last year but this year I have to learn all this strange new software and I'm learning but it still stresses me.

I lose a lot of hair when I shower and it's significantly thinner than last year. I also have really long hair in case that might be affecting it. I started washing my hair every other day instead of every day cause it's bothering me. I have friend in the same boat as me.

  • The good news is that it's not permanent if it's stress related. It'll grow back :D

I've always thought of stress (and fear) as something akin to snake venom. The faster your heart beats, the quicker the venom pervades your system and destroys you. In essence, by fearing for your life your cutting it off.

So it is with stress. The more you focus on it, the more apparent it becomes. But the less you think on it, the less influence it has.

Don't towel dry your hair, or if you have to then don't be rough.

You might want to see a doctor about that. Losing hair could be a sign of problems other than stress. Nioxin hair products or the less expensive version called Nutri-Ox might help. It's still a bit pricey, but Can really help.
