You see a huge hawk about the eat your neighbors dog

So here in Georgia we have some pretty big Hawks and a neighbor as a very small Toy Poodle. You see a Hawk perched in a Tree watching their dog, the bird flies around a bit then comes back. This thing is maybe 4 times bigger than the Dog.

This time the neighbor just so happened to let the dog inside before the Hawk was able to have dinner. But WWYD if you saw this Giant Hawk about to eat your neighbors dog?

Sit and watch, unless I was friends with the neighbor. It's not my dog, therefore I don't care. Just being honest.

Try and scare the hawk away by running at it and waving my arms and shouting

I saw a huge brown bird a few months ago sitting in a field. I was quite far away and i thought it was a dog or a fox until it flew up and perched on a billboard, then a smaller bird kept flying at it ahgresively until it flew away

    Don't say or do anything.
I started a pool at the shop where I work and ticket sales are brisk.
We're giving 3 to 2 odds on the hawk.
Let me know as soon as something happens.

If I had a shotgun and was good with it I think I would much enjoy shooting the hawk. Hell, if I had the money I'd have the damn thing stuffed so I could present it to the neighbor as a gift with some words of advice of course, "I found this damn bird trying to make a meal out of your poodle so please don't leave your dog out unattended, because he's very small, and vulnerable to predators. Next time I might not be around, and ya'll might not be so lucky".

Honestly, I'd be more than happy to shoot and kill any wild predators that threaten my domestic pets and or the pets of my family and friends. My cat is my best friend so you better believe I'd kill something dangerous with a kitchen knife and my bare hands if I had to do so.

My cat and I found an injured desert finch together in the garden once, and I only had to tell him one time to leave the poor little guy alone. I tried to save the little bird, but he had a pretty bad head injury. I figured any cat who is that loyal and obedient is worth more than any hawk to me. My cat's best pal is my sister's toy poodle who is so gentle and chill that he doesn't even chase rabbits. If that poodle sees a rabbit like 5 feet away when he's taken a piss he just looks at it like, "sup" then goes about his business, because that's how he rolls. I wouldn't hesitate to kill a hawk or even an eagle for either of them, because I love those little guys!

It's not my responsibility to watch someone's dog, kid etc.

You have a dog or kid is your responsibility to keep it out of danger. That goes for mine too.

So if a hawk ate my dog then it's my fault

That's probably not a good idea to film it. If the neighbor or someone else familiar to you sees it, they might feel sad or enraged and out you as the one who filmed it. People online tend to get pretty angry at those who sit there and watch/film stuff like that. Your name and address would probably be circulated online and you'd be on the receiving end of hate mail, death threats, and some other messed up stuff.

To the Op, I know the feeling of getting my pets killed by one of them, so I'd try to stop them. It will probably be in vain though since my neighbors let their chickens, cats, dogs, or rabbits, run wild/mess up everyone's yards and quickly replace them when said animals go missing.

I would sit back and watch because my neighbour's dog is a little yappy shithead of a mutt so it wouldn't be my problem if the hawk ate it. HAHAHA I'm probably going to get alot of hate now. Oh well.
