I was chatting with my ex recently, we're still friends.
She's been living at home for the past 2 years since she graduated college.
When we were dating it was the first relationship she'd ever been in, and she was adamant about the no sex before marriage thing, seriously, I eventually got her to do oral but I couldn't pry her legs open with a crowbar.

Anyways while we were dating her dad didn't bother her too much about being careful, he trusted her to be responsible which (to my disappointment) she was.
Here's what's weird, when we were dating and she was out at a college hours away from home he trusted her, now she's back home, single, and rarely leaves the house but she said he's been giving her the sex talk about 3 times a week every week.

wtf? that makes absolutely no sense!

is it normal for a dad to behave this way with his kid?

    I remember one of my co-workers parents giving sex talks to her every week. She was single and introverted. It was their way of trying to nag her into finding a man and giving them grandkids. Maybe that's what this is? If so, he needs to back off and be a little more patient.

        Some parents are very controlling and want to be directly involved in their kids lives. You should've figured that out before.... She got the idea of no sex marriage from someone.....

          Actually it was to spite her sister.

          Her older sister used to be a bitch to her all the time telling her stuff like she was going to be a big shot while you'll never do anything.
          Then said older sister got knocked up by a guy she met while working at a dinner 3 months after meeting him and fucked her whole life up. Never got to go to college and now is a stay at home mom in a relationship with a gut who married her only because he got her pregnant and even then reluctantly.

          Her whole no sex before marriage thing has nothing to do with religion or morality it was just a big fuck you to her sister, it's her way of saying'' see here I wen't to college had a relationship and oh, would you look at that I didn't get knocked up, what was that shit you used to say to me bitch?''

          I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm dead serious, Whenever I would get her an expensive gift for valentine's day or her birthday and such, she would make sure her older sister saw it when she wen't home for break because she knew her sister's husband didn't get her something as nice.
