Wtf is happening to me - night terrors??

So This has been going on for a while. Sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night, half asleep and out of my senses. For some reason i Am crying and panicked, and i thrash around in my bed. My brain says stop, but i just cant shake the feeling of impending death. I try to scream but it wont come out, and i only succeed in hearing the echoes of a scream in my mind. wtf is happening?

I used to have wide-eyed aliens peeping through my windows. There's nothing more scarier than quiet grey- skinned souless figures with reflector wrap around eyes staring through ur window

I've felt the same sensation before, but I felt like my body was paralyzed.

Although it's probably for the best, I hate not being able to move in that half-awake state.

I used to scream in my sleep as a kid, but now I've come to realize that I have more nightmares sleeping on my back than in any other position. That position is the only one that makes me snore, too. That's about all I can say on the matter.

Maybe you should get a diagnosis from your doctor. Don't worry too much and don't listen to idiots who try to fill you with the fear of death!

It might be sleep paralysis. Everybody gets it from time to time.

You could try to learn lucid dreaming for the nightmares.

I've had sleep paralysis before where you can't move or talk and it feels like someone's in the room with you or choking you.

It usually happens when I'm stressed or when my sleep schedule is messed up.

Do you always sleep in the same position when you have these?

      Sleep paralysis is the worst.

I literally can't move. I feel like my heart has stopped and I can't breathe. I panic because I can't breathe and it scares me that my heart will stop. Time stops. I feel like something heavy is sitting on my chest. Then, I see the creepy shadows in the corners.... I freakout and try to move, because I know they want to hurt me. I try to close my eyes, but it's like they're taunting me. They enjoy scaring me. There's a grayish-black shade on everything and just when I think I'm going to sub come, I manage to get out of it...

you gave yourself the answer already. That's what happens when you are about to die and haven't taken a gargantuan amount of morphine.
