Wrong side of the bed

Everytime I go to bed, I MUST get up on the same side of the bed. I've been like this since I was a little girl. I guess I must have taken the saying seriously, "get up on the wrong side of the bed." Only I really fear that if i get up on the other side, something bad will happen...

    Getting up on the wrong side of the bed is bad because you would be falling down not getting up. The right side is the top and the wrong the underside. So sleeping on the underside of your bed is dangerous because you will fall if your straps break and then be in a bad mood for face planting carpet.

    I do stuff like that, I HAVE to sleep on the same side of the bed everynight, or i fear i will have bad dreams. Also, I erase my inbox and outbox messages every 20 minutes because i fear that i will not receive an important message because my phone is too bogged down with read, now-useless texts. Everybody has their own weird habits, even if they say they dont.

    that sounds a bit like OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)

    i`ll copy and paste a descrition of ocd from a webpage describing the disorder:

    OCD is a type of anxiety disorder. People with OCD become preoccupied with whether something could be harmful, dangerous, wrong, or dirty %%u2014 or with thoughts about bad stuff that might happen. With OCD, upsetting or scary thoughts or images, called obsessions, pop into a person's mind and are hard to shake. People with OCD may also worry about things being "out of order" or not "just right." They may worry about losing "useless" items, sometimes feeling the need to collect these items. People with OCD feel strong urges to do certain things repeatedly %%u2014 called rituals or compulsions %%u2014 in order to banish the scary thoughts, or to try to ward off the bad thing they dread, or to make extra sure that things are safe or clean or right. By doing a ritual, someone with OCD is trying to feel absolutely certain that something bad won't happen.

    it seems that your worry or obsession is "getting up on the wrong side of the bed" so you have to get up on the "right" side of the bed or something bad will happen. In my opinion this sounds a bit obsessive compulsive, just because i do have OCD.

    that`s just my opinion though :)

    Haha. (:
    I do that sometimes, actually.
    Sometimes I'll move over to the other side of the bed just to test the theory. (;
