Here it is, A show about SERIOUS metal detecting elderly people.

A team of metal detector masters would be scouring the beaches and fields all over the world! It would have high ratings I'm sure; many people use metal detectors.

It would be called METAL RETIREMENT INC. They sell their finds to local pawn shops.

How cool would that be? Would you watch it?

    This is exactly the kind of crap that populates the television listings for the million channels we now have excess to, hence the endless lamentations that there's 'never anything good on'.

    Not saying people wouldn't watch it. Just that they'd watch it whilst commenting on how hilariously bad it is but that there's nothing else on.

    No, I don't watch TV.

    But, okay, if by some accident, I found myself in front of a TV showing "METAL RETIREMENT INC". I could imagine myself sitting through a half hour of it, just for the pure bizarreness of it.

        I think I've seen it once or twice. It wasn't bad, but it didn't capture my imagination as the show where they pick up houses and drive them to new locations on the back of huge lorries. I can remember what it was called. I also liked Megatruckers :D

    i mean people would watch it they would just have to have a big find every episode so you would have to find good stuff to plant in the area they are detecting and the old people would have to be funny

    I think they should make a show about the daily lives and loves of nursing home patients.

    Who wouldn't want to watch an hour long program where the main character spends the whole hour waiting for someone to change his dirty adult diaper. Then has a whirlwind romance with some woman with no teeth and dementia.
