Would you wait for your soulmate?

If it was CERTAIN that you have a soulmate (someone in sync with you in every aspect, mind, body, mentality) out there waiting for you. Would you do the same even though the time that you will meet is uncertain?

Or would you take a chance in someone you like even though you are not compatible in some aspects.

People might not be willing to wait but if it means that choosing someone you like will leave your other half in the dust waiting, would you still do it?

I don't believe that there's only *one* person I will ever be totally compatible with. I've met two men in my past who I felt were missing pieces of my life. I hope it happens again.

    • So lucky. It's hard to find someone you're truly compatible with.

Hah. I never said I was with them, though. I merely knew them. So it's basically two missed opportunities :P

What? No. I'm married. I wouldn't leave my husband for some "soulmate" I've never met.

my best friend is my soulmate, but he is getting married, and i am in a happy relationship. We know we are insanely compatible, but we will never be together. Sometimes your soulmate isn't your life mate...

I don't think I would as the time is uncertain. Plus I think maby a little difference between two people can be good as long as it's nothing too important

Relationships aren't forever, so I'd take a chance on someone who wasn't perfect. If you find that perfect match, you can always break up. That might sound unromantic and heartless, but that's what I'd do.

I'd go the whole wide world, just to find her.

I'd take a chance. Whose to say that person you took a chance on wasn't your soulmate? Soulmates have very little to do with interest/hobby/obvious compatability. If I was passing up every guy I ran into because I was waiting for my soulmate, I could have possible passed him up in the process.

I believe each relationship we have, no matter how long they last, helps us grow and develop into a new person. We can meet our soul mate at 15 but since we're so young, we grow out of that "phase" of our life and they are no longer compatible with us so we search for the next person to fit our still growing mental state. Once we find out who we are and are comfortable with that person, I feel we can finally find our soul mate.

I don't believe there is just one person out there to fit us either. There are over 1,200 copies of one person running around in this giant world.. so that means there are AT LEAST 1,200 soul mates out there that you are perfectly compatible with. I won't sit around waiting for them, I'd rather experience things in life that will one day lead me to being into the stage of my life where I am prepared to settle down with someone that I find I'm compatible with.
