Would you say that you're a good judge of character?

Do you just get that natural vibe that tells you if someone's good or not? Or do you have to interact with the person first?

Yes, I'd say I'm a good judge of character 23
No, I'd have to interact with the person first 16

    Probably about 50/50.
Certainly not at first glance. After some time with a person, I can make a good assessment about half the time. Much less so with attractive girls, probably because I don't want to believe that little voice in my head yelling, "Danger, Will Robinson, danger."

When I was a kid I always thought that I was like Penny or a the very least I thought I kinda looked like her. I guess Penny was one of my heroes kind of like Alice in Wonderland was.

  • Not always. I tend to err on the side of giving some folks more credit than they're worth. Eventually, when I discover how wrong I am, I [foolishly] feel a bit hurt.

I'd say I'm pretty good at judging someone. Judging by their cover is never right but I can properly do it after hearing them speak for a while and by a while, I mean more than one day. Still, although everyone has a story and people are deeper than this, generally the nice ones will be very understanding and kind in their speech, more so than normal. The copy and pastes who are into the same things everyone else is will be like everyone else, very good people to talk to with good morals but might not be understanding about things not considered socially normal, then the downright idiots who even when they talk, you can tell you wouldn't want to associate with them.

I sometimes get an instant dislike or like for someone I don't even know, usually whilst stood in a queue. I don't know why, but I can become quite focused on them. I'm either thinking disparaging and judgmental scorn about them, or smiling admirably.

I'd say though I've become better at judging people over time, but rarely is my first impression right.

Terrible. I go on track record. Data talks.

Yes and no. When I make mistakes about people, they're usually big mistakes. I don't know whether the value of "size of mistake x frequency of mistake" being on the high side is better due to size or frequency.

I am sad to say that I judge people a lot from the very moment I look at them. I pretty much make a complete analysis of how they could be... making emphasis on the negative traits.

Yet, I always give people a chance to prove me wrong anyway. Unfortunately, I am usually right on my first impressions.
