Would you rather receive life in prison or the death penalty

I dont want a prison inmate telling me that he likes his chocolate "warm, small, resisting, and with a spoon in its mouth" and then he puts a spoon in my mouth. Ill take the death penalty

Most people will say death but come on, when actually faced with it, you'd probably change your mind. The guys on Death Row file appeal after appeal after appeal untill it's exhausted. The ONLY person I can recall that actually faced his death penalty and didn't bitch out was Tim McVeigh.

Take the life in prison and if you decide you can't hack it, kill yourself or piss off someone so bad that they kill you. That way you leave both options open. Simple.

Depends on how good the prison chef is.

It would depend on how the death penatly was to be carried out, Electric Chair? Lethal Injection? etc etc...

I dont think i would be able to handle the electric chair however Lethal Injection beats life imprisonment.

I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops, but given the options, life in prison.

If I committed a 1st degree murder, I wouldn't get caught.

Life in prison, I would try to escape. If I started to wish I was dead instead of in prison then I would kill the inmates.

Life in prison. of course death would be better and easier, and there are many instances i'd choose death without a second thought. But prison gives you a lot of optioins for contemplation, education and academic work. So think about it as a lifetime of uniterrupted study with all your living expenses covered.

I think they should kill those people, waste of space. I'm talking about the crazy ones, that do mass murders and rape, pedophiles, etc.

Life in prison. id make my own gang, hire some security guards to give me some stuff from the outside, have my homies stab the people that want to kill me, get some strippers.

I would take life in prison and write books about my false imprisonment. Also, I would hate to be a MASSIVE drain on taxpayers (the death penalty costs thousands to a million more dollars, sources on request).

Life sounds better, it would probably be pretty boring but, when I was at high school dozens of fights broke out and, someone got stabbed and arrested. I can imagine the same happening in jails and prisons, it would be fun to watch people get shanked and to be scared.

Life sentence then dig a secret tunnel with a rock pick, behind a playboy poster and escape after 20 years.

I wouldn't commit first degree murder. But, in a parallel universe, hopefully I would be remorseful for the crime if I killed someone innocent. I would not be making excuses for myself or trying to dodge my sentence if I were completely guilty. If that were the case, I would want to be put to death by lethal injection. However, depending upon the nature of my crime, I would be in no position to complain if I were drawn and quartered.

Proply death penalty if I did it, if i didn't, I would like the extra time to prove it :)

I myself might quake at the thought of dying, but seriously, in general I believe that the death penalty is a WAY better idea. The world is already over-populated by scum. Why pay to feed and clothe them when they should just be sent on?

I do not believe in capital punishment and prison is nice if your not someone bi**h
