Would you rather dye your hair bright pink for a year or shave it off?

Mostly for the ladies but guys feel free to answer too. It's a question for everyone. So, would you rather dye your hair bright pink for a whole year (I mean very bright and also maintain it and keep re-dying it). Or shave it off (not bald but no longer than 1cm)? You'd only have to shave it once, then could let it grow back, you wouldn't be required to keep shaving it for a year. Please vote, I'm intrigued as to what the most popular option will be!

Bright pink - I'd love to. 40
Bright pink - I'd deal with it. 43
Shave it - I'd love to. 14
Shave it - I'd deal with it. 24
I have done one or both of these things - no big deal. 6
I'd shave it and dye it pink. Bring it on! 11

      To OP

I prefer option 3, a nice butch cut for a woman

Shave it. I hate my hair and dying ruins it anyway :/

Shave off one half of it, dye the other half pink. Also apply the same treatment to my eyebrows, possibly extend it to my mustache/beard depending on the reception.

Is it a political statement thing?

Yes. I'm a part of Americans For Look How Sweet This Haircut Is. We're having a fundraiser dinner on Saturday, $500 a plate. Skrillex will be there.

I would dye my hair pink. Even though I'm a guy, it's taken a lot of time for my hair to grow somewhat long and I want to keep growing it because I feel as though long hair accommodates my personality and I hate the 'men should have short hair' mentality of some people. I don't conform to such nonsense.

Haha, I've had bright pink hair. :L I've also had pink mixed with other colours - I've had pink and purple, and I've had pink, purple, blue and red all together. xD

I'd gladly dye my hair pink. It'd make it easy to cosplay Madoka. (It's a shame I'm fat and ugly though...)

Bright pink. I kind of want to do that anyway.

I've already done the pink thing. I'd be too scared to shave my head but I've seen girls that pull it off beautifully.

Dye it pink. I'm already used to dying my hair purple and have been maintaining/re-dying it since 2008. I've been thinking about going pink for a while now.

I don't know! What would put me off dying it pink is having to bleach/lighten the hair first as the pink would only come out on blonde or very light brown hair. So the bleach might mess it up and dry it out and damage the hair, then it would have to be shaved off anyway! So you might end up doing both? lol. I know someone who bleached their hair for about a year and had to cut it short as it was just breaking. I think I'd rather shave it. It would grow back. Plus I'd kind of like to know what it's like.

Bright hot pink, no, I would have to shave my head. However, carnation pink I would do definitely do.

If I could dye it the same colour as my skin and have it very short then I don't see much difference.

Some people are quite pink in colour but not bright pink? The majority of Caucasian people are more... peach? It varies hugely, though.
