Would you rather date a boy/girl of your own ethnicity or another?

A tiny part of me is conflicted because I'm proud of my Eastern European ethnicity. I'd also like my son to look like me.
Buttttt at the same time, I love the darker girls. A lot. I think it would be boring to be with a white woman the rest of my life. My first *real* love was half Haitian and since then, I've always loved black women. So, I don't think I'll ever date a white girl again

I believe that this question is indirectly asking a question about racial prejudice. Am I ethnocentric and just in love with whoever looks like me or am I open to the possibility of dating other members of the human race? In a few words: This is not the point.

The first thing that attracts me to a man is his mind. The one thing that will keep me with him is his mind.

High falutin sensitivities aside, I am attracted physically to men who have symetrical, balanced features (regardless of ethnicity), who have impeccable hygiene, and who are mature, progressive, fair-minded thinkers.

I'm white but am not all that attracted to other white people. However I am very attracted to both men and women of other races. And characteristics such as compassion, intelligence, and humor are huge turn-ons for me.

What's the difference? Poon-tang is poon-tang. Granted, some of them are sideways, but we can work around that.

Really though, while it wouldn't be a dealbreaker, I'd be less comfortable with a black or pacific island girl. Dark skin doesn't do much for me and the culture that so many of them follow is massively unattractive.

Some of the comments on here are...laughable to say the least. Just because someone is a race does not mean that they automatically associate with the culture that is portrayed by their race.

But I prefer tan men. Any race could do, but I think Latin and white-tanned men look more attractive.

I'm a white dude and I love Indian girls. I would also consider Arab or Turkish girls.

I love white or a slight tan. Blue or red hiar and green or blue eyes. English or from Cananda or irish even. Maybe even a scott. Tan with dark black hiar latin if not white.

Race and ethnicity are not the same. Race is biological and genetic. For much of social history it's meant Negroid, Caucasoid, and Mongoloid with a few variations along the way.

Ethnicity is where a group share linguistic or religious traits, while others share a common group history but not a common language or religion.

Dating out of your ethnic group is when a German dates and Italian, a Basque dates a Castilian, or a Kurd dates an Arab.

Ritual_Dismemberment is the only one to get it right.

Well ethnicity does matter to me to a certain point. I do prefer dark skin men. But if a guy is really attractive, great personalities, features that i absolutely love, then it may be able to work out.
