I'd rather be rich but being skinny rules so I would use my money to buy exercise equipment, hire a trainer, chef to prepare healthly meals for me then I'll have it all.

I would like to have the right amount of money through life to get by. Friends and family mean more to me than money. If I was rich though; I would most certainly share my wealth. I would give it to people who really need it.
I would also prefer to have a healthy body. The healthier you are the more positive you are. The more positive you are the more likely you will uplift others around you too. :) When someone is confident, secure and happy they normally put others above them because that's what makes them who they are in their perspective.
Anyone can be "skinny". Not everyone can be rich. I'd rather be filthy rich. I'm already thin. And trust me it doesn't bring happiness. Then again I don't define my self worth based on a scale or the size jeans I wear.
Define skinny. How little or much would a woman of 5ft 5in have to weigh to be considered skinny or overweight? What dress size, bra size, jean size is skinny. Please let me know and I'll get back to you.
Thanks, then I have to choose rich. I'm not going to lie, I have to lose some weight. The thinnest I have ever been as an adult was 117lbs and the smallest size I have ever fit into was a size 4 dress. I think I was at my best health wise between 130lbs and 140lbs. I think I best liked the shape of my body at 125lbs so I figure if I could get with a trainer and a nutritionist and shoot for a lean muscular 140lbs. I'm no stranger to Lane Bryant but I can keep up in Yoga class and even beat some half my size but the extra weight is bad for my joints, blood pressure, Fibromyalgia and health in general.
I think to be straight up skinny in the way a lot of female celebrities are would be really sickly and gross. Now earlier I said I wasn't going to lie so I'm going to say I'm a big enough girl that I've noticed people don't fuck with me. I pulled my car up into a target parking lot and this scary, tweaker looking guy comes up to me before I even get out of the car. I open the car door, get out really fast, slam it shut and say in an aggressive voice, "what do you want?" Well, the guy of course wanted money but he ended up confessing to me that he was afraid I would kick his ass and that he had just got out I jail. It was dark and I was alone with him and that comment made my day! I told him I would give him a dollar at the front of the target store(where there were people, light and cameras). I never apologized for scaring him. I don't think I could exude that kind of confidence in myself and physical intimidation as a "skinny" person. I used to know an ex model who's had a lot of struggles with eating disorders and she wants to do cardio all day but never does any weight training. She's only slightly older than me but she has osteoporosis from her anorexic days and her teeth are not in the best shape from when she used to binge and purge. She's not an ugly woman but she's delicate and fragile and when she goes running outside she's always getting approached by freaks and weirdos. I'm happy to not have that problem. She's vulnerable and these encounters frighten her so I encourage her to do some weight training, shoot for a healthy weight for her taller stature and even wear some sunscreen. I think she yearns for her glory days when she was a model but she's a shell of a person. It's very sad.
Whew, okay so that was my rant. Also if I was rich I would want to help people in my family and my friends and donate to charities I believe in like Rachel's Vineyard and the NSPCA. I might even start a rescue group for Siamese cats and Poodles. I figure if I were independently wealthy and did all that work on myself and helping others then I could really enjoy some good spa days and massages for myself guilt free. Life would be a good dream!

Definitely rich because I'm skinny and I hate it! I wouldn't care if I was just fat but wouldn't like to be obese just for health reasons, you want to be around to enjoy the money, not be having a heart attack. Plus think of all the crap you could buy for your family and that :D

Rich. You can always lose weight, but earning a ton of money is pretty difficult and far more time consuming.

I think that perhaps I can really answer this question better than almost anyone else here. I lost 270+lbs. YES TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY POUNDS. I used to weigh well over 420lbs and now I weigh right around 140lbs or so.
That being said, I lost the weight in a very short amount of time, and went through a LOT of hell both physically and emotionally. Emotionally speaking I was way off track. I delved into alcoholism, counseling, nearly lost everything from going wild partying for a while... All of a sudden I had a whole new modeling career... looking like a whole new person can BE like striking it rich! It can change you WAY more than you think it can!
So yeah I would choose riches. Now that I've seen how a boon can change you, I can probably handle the changes riches would bring.
But I wouldn't advise anyone else to just go into either riches OR sudden weight loss like that unless they go with a mentor holding their hand all the way!
I am already too skinny! So I would much rather be rich!!! That way I could buy a ton of food and gain a little weight!!!

Well, in this case it's a pretty cut & dried hypothetical. You are either always skinny (never rich) and not well off or always rich (never skinny) and fat....
See, me too. I was just wondering what others thought. I just don't like the feeling of being fat and all my friends with money always say they'd give anything to be as skinny as me. Just made me curious what people would choose if it really had to be one or the other for life. I saw it like this; do you want people to be attracted to you because you look nice or because you are wealthy but do not look maybe so nice? It's a shallow question, yes, a shallow subject. But I'm only human.

It isn't so good being skinny trust me, I mean I think I even have body (dismorphic?) image or something because people say I'm not skinny, I'm normal, but because a few years ago I lost loads of weight being in hospital, I'm stuck with this thought that I have to put more weight on, 5"3 and 9st? but to me I look way to skinny. To have extra weight is a good thing, it is to me anyhow ;)
