Would you mind if your neighbor smoked weed outside?
I smoke pot every night in my backyard, I don't work on weekends so only then am I able to smoke during the day Saturdays and Sundays. I'm surrounded by neighbors. To the left, right, back and front of my house. Mostly everyone's backyard is open, but with a fence and the houses are close to each other, only separated by the fence and bushes along the fence to provide some privacy. I'm really only concerned about the neighbors to the left of me. They're a young couple with 3 young children who are often outside in the day during the warmer months. I once made the mistake of smoking outside when the wife was out, the wind drifted the smell right over to their yard and I heard her say "Someone is smoking pot." Ever since then, about 2 years ago, I NEVER smoke when they are outside, and especially if any of their children are out. I wait until it is late then I do the deed. Sometimes, when I am out there late at night, they let the dogs out. I think they can smell the weed when they open the back door to let the dogs out, but they haven't said anything and continue to let the dogs out late. This occurs many times a week. Do you think they realize but do not mind, as I only do it when the kids are not out? They're nice people and sometimes I feel so guilty! What would you do if you were my neighhors?
