Would you meet an ex while in a relationship?

Let's say you are in a relationship and you get a text from an ex that they are nearby and would like to meet up for lunch and catch up. Do you accept?
And I'm talking about a proper ex here, from a previous long term relationship, not just a person you dated for a few weeks or the like.
I just want to know how people feel on the matter. Do they think it's ok to do this or would they see it as a problem?

    If it was someone I no longer had any feelings for then I think I should be allowed to meet the ex without my current partner's consent. However, out of courtesy, I'd talk to her about it before meeting the ex. If she felt very strongly that she didn't want me to meet the ex, I guess I wouldn't meet the ex.

    If, however, the ex is someone I still have any kind of positive or negative feelings about then I'd ask why they want to meet up. If there's no good reason for meeting, I wouldn't meet.

    What would be worse is if she was dating someone new while I don't.

    I had this happen to me recently, actually. My ex is in a relationship but asked if I wanted to hang out while her girlfriend was asleep. She just wanted to catch up on things since I had not seen her in 3 years. She hopped in her girlfriends car and drove to pick me up. Haha. I was worried her girlfriend would not approve but she swore it was fine. We both had platonic intentions. It was actually the first time we had hung out since our break up, but so much time had passed that it didn't make it awkward.
