I just watched a news story where someone found $3600 in their to go bag at taco bell and decided to return it.
Personally I would have kept it. If someone is stupid enough to put that much money in the bag instead of my food, I will be smart enough to keep it and never return.

I would keep it and use it to buy something better than shitty taco bell.
I couldn't keep it. As handy as the money would be, I just couldn't. I got given $40 change from a $20 note once, and I couldn't walk away with it.
Plus, while I'm not familiar with the story you've mentioned, it sounds fuckin' shady. I don't want to be in possession of money probably involved in some illegal dealings. I'd be paranoid something terrible would happen to me.
You should evaluate it on a per-case basis.
In the case that you mentioned, it was obviously money that was supposed to be passed on for some shady deal.
I have much better use for it than the questionable and likely illegal original intended purpose.
I would keep it.
If I found cash lying on the ground, I would keep it - There's no way of knowing whose it was.
If, however, someone lost their wallet, I would return it with all its contents still in it.
If someone put that amount of money in a Taco bag, it was either profits from selling drugs, or someone was buying drugs. Many fast-food clerks in drive-thru windows have been arrested for selling drugs.
Keep the money, if they were stupid enough to give money away to customers by mistake then screw them.
I keep the Money but i would buy a gun to kill the gangbangers if they try to their money back and well i fill they for free with hot lead. ;)))))))
Never been in that situation but I reckon 95% of the time, I'd keep the money. I'd definitely keep at least half of it the other 5% of the time.
WI dont know where any of you come from or what you been through, but I grew up in a neighborhood in southern california where it was all drugs and gang bangers, I had to fight to get anything and fight to keep what I had, I give a fuck about who may come looking for it, I knew from the heading without even reading the rest I would always KEEP THE MONEY no matter what it is. I know from living life that if I was slipping with my money like that the next fool would takeit without a thought of me, and if I was slipping like that I deserve to get took too.

I once found a wad of bills on my way out of work. One of my co-workers had dropped their whole week's pay. No one was around and I could have kept it. But I could just imagine what it would have been like it that happened to me. I turned it in and the person got their money back. To keep it would have been the same as stealing it. I'm no thief.
I'm partially with charli.m, but if anything I just wouldn't spend it immediately. I'd wait before I touch it just to see.
With so much cash in a bag they're probably bad guys themselves (maffia, drugs dealers, robbers, etc) so yeah keep it. Taste some of your own dough.
I don't believe in "God" nor "Satan" but I believe in Karma . And I'm sure something worse will happen if you kept that money. . .
I'd return the money because I would want someone to do the same for me!
