    As an artist? maybe so.

I hope that isn't your resume. Employers aren't supposed to know about those things until later.

    • I wouldn't write this on a resume.
It's usually around when I get fired they find out.

  • Yes, as long as they didn't do the negative things at work.

The, "does not think before speaking or acting." guarantees a NO to any manager.

I'm not a charity. I donate to my favorite charities because they are much better equipped and trained to help people like this. I am a small sole proprietorship and I have to do what's best for ME, or I will be out of business and out of a job, and then I'll be no good to anybody.

That's an issue that comes from sticking out of the norm. I do too.

  • One of my (ex) coworkers at my job had a mental illness she took medication for. She often forgot to take them though, and she was completely weird and inappropriate. She pulled her pants down and flashed my manager, farted and trapped my manager in her fart cloud, talked about sucking my boss's dick, how she was a prostitute, her "corvette", and a variety of other lies.

She was shortly fired, thank goodness. She was awful.I agree, there are too many deal breakers in the list.

I thought that was you. :-)

I was just curious since the post itself is anonymous but technically all posts are until the OP decides to respond to comments. But I digress. I guess I was curious as to whether or not it was someone new to the site. Also I wanted to see if my guesses and suppositions in regards to neurological, psychological and psychiatric factors were correct or not.

Thanks for your patient response. :-)

No, but I've seen my share of them. I guess I'm fascinated by that type of stuff.

            • the mental health services here (USA) are terrible. they can't even keep their appointments scheduled correctly and most of them don't seem to know what they're doing.

Sounds like most of the really talented musicians and artists I've known. "Right brain people", I refer to them as. Not stupid; far from it, but just not capable of doing things in a way that is acceptable to society.
I've had them as crew aboard several boats I've operated and though usually really nice folks, they do have their limitations in most work places.
So no, I would not employ one under normal circumstances.
