If it was something needed- like nose surgery for breathing then yes, but I don't like boob surgery or whatever.

I would never change a thing on my body. I feel as though I'm fine how I am. I accept myself for what I look like.

I don't mind if other people get it, it shows a lot of character and mainly insecurities. Nothing is wrong with faults and not everyone sees them the way you do. They make you human.

Plastic surgery can be ok in some cases, but people need to realize that sometimes the surgery just makes them look horrible, even worse then they were before.

Thats one of the drawbacks of plastic surgery, some people seem to get tunnel vision and think they look attractive when in reality they look like a different species.

Getting your skin tucked and pulled is bound to produce some ugly results, and the "friends" that they surround themselves with never tell the truth about how they look. Even if you look like shit your friend will just say "oh it looks great!" thus perpetuating your false gain in self-esteem.

I don't oppose it, let people do as they wish I say.

Personally I'd never do it for aesthetic reasons, but if my health was at risk without it, then of course I would.

I am 100% PRO PLASTIC SURGERY. Why not? Life is short, do whatever you feel will make you look as good as you can...if thats your thing of course. Some people spend on a boat, or gambling, or traveling....why criticize people who choose to spend their hard earn money however they please to.

I'm all for it. What kind of a person are you if you'd look down on someone who had a procedure? Like you'd even know anyway....GMAB. You probably encounter several people a week who have done something cosmetic and you'd never guess it. It should be a complete non-issue.

No. I've only had one negative response from a person that mattered to me and very, very few negative responses from random people. The vast majority of people either don't know, don't notice, like them, love them, are curious but in a positive way. The most negativity I see is online, and I just think what a joke, people are so ignorant, they're probably going by porn images to formulate their opinions...and we all know how accurate porn is...jeesh. Not everyone who gets implants gets disproportionately large ones, not everyone does it to be a stripper or porn star, not everyone does it for vanity....In a lot of cases, it's essentially reconstructive. Look at doctor's before and after pictures, you'll see-many of the cases are women who have had natural things occur that have wrecked their breasts, you don't see very many perfect-but-small women just going in to get them bigger. If a woman loses weight, has a baby or simply gravity takes hold...all those things are perfectly natural occurences that can destroy a body. If a woman has a child at 20 or so and it ruins her breasts completely, why should she live the rest of her life with what is essentially a deformity? If she loses weight and ends up floppy and flat, why is it wrong to want to finish the job by enhancing things, why can't she feel good about herself 100%? Everyone just seems to have this attitude that it's all about porn and having huge tits, that's so untrue. Maybe they feel this way because they're either jealous or they formulate their opinion out of ignorance. Fact is, you really only notice the huge ones or the ones in porn....and that's just it...that's all you NOTICE, forgetting that you probably walk past or work with several women every day who have implants and you CAN'T TELL because it's NOT all about being huge and noticeable.

Oh, forgot to mention that many women get implants to correct assymetry, and reconstruct breasts after an injury or illness. None of these reasons is medical or more warranted than another, breasts are not essential for life. It's all cosmetic...

          • Thank you.

One of my friends has one A cup boob and the other is a C cup. To spare her feelings, I didn't say anything when I first saw them, but I honestly thought it looked very strange. She never said it bothered her, but if my own breasts were like that, I'd want to change them, for sure.

I have naturally large breasts and I've always hated the attention they receive. Even though I'm all about supportive bras that fit properly, they will sag one day. I dread that day. I wish they were smaller, but I find the idea of a reduction too violent of a solution, at this time.

            Thanks again, for sharing.

My friend got her ears pinned back and said it has changed her life.

When my son was born I made sure he had cotton hats and headbands on to flatten his ears back before the cartilage settled. I don't think enough parents know to do this with newborns.

I wonder if that has something to do with one of my ears sticking out while the other one doesnt. Luckily for me, its not noticeable under my hair

I wouldn't get it because knowing my luck I'd be one of the twats who died on the operating table for aesthetic reasons. Having said that I would love a nose job, although no one can see it I think it's too wide and it's the first thing I notice on my face, I am so obsessed with noses at the moment.
I wouldn't have anything that makes me look younger though, I am one of those "grow old gracefully" sorta people, although I'm sure I will change my mind when I'm 40 and look 70.

Apparently in my family, deep creases in the face are genetic, at least after age 40. He got a botox injection, and I thought it was no big deal since it's something major.

Personally, I wouldn't see the need for that.

IF I had an accident or something abnormal would me, then, yes, I would get it done.

For just plain looks, I wouldn't consider a face lift....I MAY consider a boob job, if my breasts don't get bigger...though I've been reading up on some guides on how to get them to grow naturally ;) Though a breast LIFT, to keep from sagging, when I'm, like, over 50 or so,then yes, I may.

That's actually all. I don't see a real need for this, unless I want to be a futanari. But that's just my opinion.

I neither support or reject the decisions, should people make one like this, though I DO feel money spent on vanity alone could be put to a better cause...

  • Maybe when I'm an middle aged woman with 3 kids, a breast lift wouldn't be so bad. Other than that, no.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • Reconstructive plastic surgery - YES.
    example: removal of excess skin

Plastic surgery to correct an abnormality - YES.
example: pinning ears, nose job for a huge nose

Plastic surgery for vanity sake - NO (I wouldn't).
    example: face-lifts, lipo, boob jobs.

People (adults 18+) can do whatever they want with their own bodies though. If they want to put themselves through that pain, then it's up to them.

I went for a facial recently and while I was there I was trying to guess why the other patients were booked in to see the doctors. I have no problem with people getting anything fixed that bothers them. They're not harming anyone, and if it makes them happy, why not?

Joan Rivers just said on tv that she is 78. Although the Americans prefer the wind tunnel look, the British prefer the 'natural' look so people think they just look refreshed.

I have had moles removed, EPL treatment on my hands for freckles and sun spots, laser hair removal, teeth whitened, eyeliner tattooed on, - botox and fillers but don't tell my husband :o) He thinks I'm naturally gorgeous!!

Only if i needed it. Difference between want and need. If i could right now though, I'd just get my nose fixed since i broke it along time ago and have trouble breathing sometimes.

If I was hugely fat and nothing else worked I'd get a gastric band. I'd get some work done on my face if it got wrecked in an accident. Otherwise I really wouldn't change a thing about myself. Also, I do find it a turn off if a girl has had non-essential surgery.
