Would you guys shut the fuck up?

If I see one more presidential election post on here I'm gonna fuckin lose it. It doesn't matter who wins. It's going to be exactly the same as it has been going. It's the status quo. The media is complicit in maintaining the status quo by continually introducing bullshit talking points to distract everyone and polarize them to the point that they can't unite and make any meaningful change. This allows the government to continue it's total corruption and ass rapage to the American people and to the global community in the name of corporate greed. So shut the fuck up about who's going to make the next president and focus on more meaningful issues from now on instead of this shit ass tabloid nonsense.

You're right 11
Nope your wrong 8

While I agree with your sentiments regarding the prevalence of 2016 presidential election posts on this site, I disagree with your notions regarding the futility of engaging in the democratic process. The whole Emma Goldman style "If voting changed anything," rhetoric that has become so popular in American politics as of late is really just a way for the intellectually lazy to justify their refusal to engage in politics while still feeling smug and superior to those who do. The right to vote is something that many people have fought long and hard for in this country; ordinary white men were not allowed to vote until after the Civil War, women were not allowed to vote until later, and racial minorities of varying sorts have all had to fight for their voting rights as well (and to some extant, they still do, considering that politicians are always trying to find ways to prevent racial minorities from voting (like the ID laws which primarily target blacks and everything)). If voting didn't change anything, I doubt that politicians would have spent so much time trying to find ways to make the voices of others meaningless (Jim Crow, anyone?).

What difference does it make if you're essentially voting for one party? The Democrats and Republicans are really only one party and they make sure that no other parties are able to get any influence. I'm pretty sure that third parties aren't even allowed in the debates. What kind of a right is it at this point if it's just an illusion that you're being allowed to choose? You're not being allowed to choose anything. It's all bullshit. I'm not going to go so far as to say we live under fascism, but it's pretty damn close. Look up the definition of fascism and consider that the government, together with the complicit media keeps us trapped in a false reality where we're so locked in that we can't think outside of the current paradigm and continue to vote for the same types of people thinking that we're going to get hope and change every time.

Yes. Enough with the regurgitating of half digested bullshit news media.
