What difference does it make? Some people prefer dumb phones. I think there are many much more important factors to judge someone on when deciding whether or not you want to give said person your number than just a flip phone. Of course the person giving out his or her phone number has the right to judge the person asking for the number on whatever criteria he or she chooses. We all have free will and should never feel obligated to give out our personal information or spend our time with anyone.
If someone asks for your phone number or asks you out you have the right to say no for whatever personal reasons, no matter how shallow and superficial, those reasons are. Someone can ask you why you said no or aren't interested, but you don't owe that person any explanation whatsoever.
