Would you fight or dodge?

If the country you lived in was at war, and there was a draft, would you dodge the draft or fight? Assume that this happens at a time when you're in the age range, and are eligible to fight.

I imagine that most people reading this are from a country where there is no draft, but just imagine that it did happen.

In a lot of countries where there's been a draft, women don't have to go. If you're a girl/woman, I want you to imagine that you are not exempt from the draft.

I would fight. 34
Hell no, I wouldn't go. 36

I only risk my life for my own causes, not the U.S. government's.

If my country were under attack of course I would draft.

No way in hell would I go overseas to fight though, I'm all for defending my home and my way of life but as soon as you take it to someone else's land then it seems a little imposing.

Furthermore... I'd just really hate to be stuck in a different country with no way of getting home (I live on an island).

  • It depends on the country. It depends on the cause.

All this bullshit about "I'd go only if I believed in it"...yeah, OK. So you'd rather be in prison? How exactly do you think you'd dodge it? It's virtually impossible. I mean, unless you're ready, willing, and able to leave the country to a non-extradition country (lots of GREAT choices there...lol-look them up...) FOREVER, never to return. Bullshit, you wouldn't leave the country forever and you'd not want to be in prison. GMAB.

That may be true, but that's what's called a draft....what's fucked up to one is cause for another...who's to decide? Not you. So you have to do what they say.

I'm to decide. Because in that situation, I have three options:

          1. Go to war.
          2. Go to jail, with my dignity intact.
          3. Join or make a contra movement.

I like the third option. Better to die with a reason.

I will fight for my people, not my country.

I would fight only if we, the people, had our rights, liberties or lives taken.

I wouldn't fight for my country; or a lie, like the U.S, who are over there chasing "terrorists", making excuses to kill people, or buying petroleum plants, instead of helping on more important things.

Fuck your army, fuck your navi, fuck your marines. ..|.,
