Would you feel upset if you have baby boys instead of baby girls ?

For those of you women / girls who think of marriage and having kids , would you feel upset and angry if you have baby boys instead of baby girls (and you had dreams of having baby girls perhaps one boy , but having girls more than boys , and dressing them , being close to them , raising them ...etc ).

yes will feel angry and upset 8
No i would love my baby no matter what the gender is 46
will keep trying to have a baby girl 8
wont have another baby after two unsuccessful trials for baby girls 3
I would give the baby for adoption 4
I would be so angry towards the baby boy 2
A baby is a blessing no matter what the gender is 34
If the baby is retarded or disfigured that is something bothersome 11

I don't care which gender my baby would be, I just want it to be healthy.

Yes I always tell myself that if i have a son I will cry. I just favour girls over boys.

Eh, on the inside they're almost the same.

Oh please dont do this to your child. No matter what gender they are, you should love them the same.. They grow up with very horrible complexes if they knew they aren't what you wanted..

Many women DO prefer girls, its true. (Obviously not all)
They can dress them up pretty and teach them about makeup, and ideally go out shopping together as that best friends Mother Daughter relationship.

I don't dance around the truth here, I just say it as it is.
Quite obviously try try again for a girl. I answered this without knowing the results first, and low and behold that seems to be the 'normal' answer here.

I'd prefer a boy, less hassle.

  • A baby is a baby at the end of the day, i'm only 17 and a female but personally i'd prefer a little boy as they are less of a handful, they're not as a bitchy and boys sleep more :) although tbh i'm not really thinking about having kids for the time being more like uni and education shit first and seeing the world, if i was to have a little baby girl tho i'd still love her the same as i would if she was a little boy :) xx

    • yea but you forget that boys are cute when they are young , but then they will be like 13 , 18 , 25 ,30 and they will be macho and manly , that it's hard for a mother to have a son mother relationship with them , unless they are "mama's boys ", with a girl it's different ,sure when they are teens the mother and teens fight with each other , but after that there will be a mother daughter relationship , a mother could go shopping with her daughter ,they are close to each other , they could talk about many things ...etc .

After a couple miscarriages, you don't care what gender it comes out. I just want to be able to have a healthy baby! 12 weeks and still going strong!

Eh, I think the only reason I would prefer having a baby girl than a boy is because I'm female, so I'd want a female child- if I was a guy, then I'd rather have a baby boy instead of a girl. It's probably because I'd probably have a little bit more knowledge of how to handle, and communicate with a baby girl than a baby boy.

I have 1 girl and was never bothered what I had a baby is a gift how can anyone be disapointed with their own child? I'd have been made up with either all boys or all girls or mixture of both, but as I'm not planning anymore kids I don't suppose it matters. There are too many heart broken women that can't have kids for people to have gender disapiontment xxx If I did have anymore I think I'd like a boy as I love the bond between mother and son, but another girl would certainly not be a disapointment xxxx

  • No. I'd love and have equal excitement in raising my son as much as if I were to have a daughter.

Why can't you do those things with boys?
