Would you ever be in love with a crazy person?

I find the thought of being in love with a crazy person very interesting. I have no idea why but its fun to see whats ticking in this broken kind of clock. You like to see how it works you see. The thought of it seems very romantic. Even though it seems kind of odd. The idea of a maddening love seems like a perfect romance. Would you ever love someone you new were crazy? By crazy that exclude sex offenders. So have that in mind. So weird and self destructive kind of crazy.

What kind of crazy are you referring to? I've developed feelings both for people with mental illnesses and people who were eccentric. It's normal for me.

I wouldn't use the word crazy but I've been with people who had certain issues. I've also been the subject of obsessional love. It can be positive at times but most often it was some combination of wearying, scary, or unhealthy. I take on the traits of the people I care most about and friends commented about the change in my behaviour when I was dating someone they rightly didn't approve of.

Well, it depends on what sort of crazy we're talking about here. Do you mean actually mentally ill, in which case, it would still depend on the mental illness. If you just meant weird or quirky, then yeah, that's normal.

I swapped numbers with a girl who had split personality disorder. We got chatting on a dating site. She heard voices, hallucinated and self harmed. She slept a lot cuz of all the medication she was on. I felt sorry for her. We never met, meeting was too much her to cope with. I tried to be understanding but it just wasn't worth the effort. I told her no one would ever want her. And she killed herself.

    • That is a very sad story.

  • Arson, theft, killed small animals, violent past, facination with blood, vain, and a lovely smile.

    Interested?

...Although I have done those things, I don't believe I am crazy, just thought it was a witty thing to say.

Point being, the crazy you see on TV and the crazy in reality are two different types of crazy. TV crazy is not crazy. I wouldn't recommend trying to find someone 'crazy' to be with, not unless you fancy waking up on the wrong side of the dug up ditch.

      • So have I. My little brother's biological father. My uncle. My grandfather (who people that have been in contact with him still believe him to be Bible John - old serial killer) A family friend, and quite a bit more from my life. None have been appealing.

You are talking about Dexter? He is a television character. Although I enjoy his character very much, it is very unlikely there are people like him. Remember. The only reason why he does not kill innocents is his father's code. Without that, I dount Rita would of survived long. Dexter isn't 'insane'. He is unstable, but not insane.

I've been married to 1 for 32 yrs. She says 1 thing and does another. Gets angry if I do, and if I don't. I live her and wouldn't change a thing. All I can do is change myself, and improve my self control.

if they still had empathy about them yes. not sure what counts as ''crazy'', but i am attracted to people i can related to, and we tend to be considered ''crazy'' by some. btw nice metaphor with the clock =)
