Would you date someone who used to be a different sex?

I am transgender, and I am too terrified to get into a relationship because I have not fully made the transition into my preferred gender. I could not have sex.

I am afraid that if I opened up to someone about it, they would be either disgusted and leave me, or not see me as the sex I see myself and leave me for it. I do not have a lot of confidence, so I doubt there would be an option C in which they would accept me as I am and love me. Which is a shame, as I have really strong feelings for someone.

I wanted to see how many people would be fine with it, or how many people would not. So, would you be with someone if they used to be a different sex? Don't consider pre/post op for you decision as that person is the gender they believe they are before they go under the knife.

    I honestly wouldn't care either way. I'm not a judgemental person, and I actually don't see anything wrong with it. I saw a jerry springer episode the otehr day with the whole trans gender thing, and some people flippe dout when they found out. I don't get why though??? I suppose it was because the person lied.. You should never keep it secret or lie about it to your special someone, you should be straight up. However, I would date someone who is transgender. And also! I know a girl who is dating a guy who was a female. :) And she loves him unconditionally. So there's hope.

    If I liked the person it wouldn't matter to me what sex they were when they were born. To be honest it wouldn't bother me what sex they were now either, but what they were born as wouldn't make me not like someone.

    I'm a straight male and I know someone who now has the body to match her gender. I'd date her, although I don't think she'd date me. Not sure men are her thing.
