    I think it depends on the nature of their crimes. I would not want to date a convicted felon simply due to the complications that that has the potential to bring about in their lives.

    Now if we are talking misdeamenors and they have changed, repented, etc. then maybe it is permissable. It depends on how early on in the relationship they tell me (how honest are they being with it and how willing are they to be honest about it with yourself and others).

    I wouldn't date someone with a criminal record, unless it was something slightly minor such as shoplifting, or DIY, maybe drug possession. If it's a murder, or something like sexual assault, I probably wouldn't even consider dating him/her. Everyone should get a second chance....but definitely not with me.

    I don't think it would matter to me what their crimes were if I truly loved them and wanted to be with them. Everyone has "baggage," some just more than others.

    Violent/drug/alcohol/smoking/sexual abuse, no sorry not for me. Misdemeanor OK, if the felony doesnt involve the above listed ill give him a chance.

    I've dated someone who over the course of our relationship got a crminal record.... idk being caught with weed, or little things arent too bad i guess

    Who cares what kind of crimes they've commited? It shouldn't be thrown back in their face. We all make mistakes. We all have to live with the regret. As long as they didn't try to hide it and they've changed their ways, you shouldn't let something such as a criminal record cloud your judgement.

    I honestly wouldn't mind if he even committed murder. If I honestly believed he's changed, and I love him, I wouldn't let that come between us. Of course, it all depends on the situation. If I find out that he's a serial killer who kills children and just hasn't been caught, then yeah, I would run.

    Depends on the circumstances. Sometimes the law sucks and people get arrested for the dumbest things.
