Some of my friends are bashing me because I'm dating a single father. I'm 20 and he's 23. My family are okay with it now (after getting to know him). He has 1 kid.
So my question is, would you date a single parent?
I did once and it was werid she was someone I had a crush on in middle school she got pregnant by high school in our sophomore year and we dated at nineteen me and twenty her.
It lasted for two years her son is a good kid but her problem is that she is ghetto white trash I don't think I have to explain further.
We still deal with each other from time to time I would say apart of me still loves her and I wouldn't have minded the idea of marrying her.
So no nothing is wrong with dating a single parent.
yes i would and currently dating a single mom with 2 kids and she's older than me by 4 years.. if the love and passion is there, just go for it. u deserve to be happy with the one you feel the most love for.
To be honest, I wouldn't. I don't want kids, and I really don't want to have to give my time, patience, and money to someone I don't care about. I know other people that would gladly sacrifice for it, and that's good for them since kids need that, but it's just not for me.
i have and its a fucking mistake , for they guy its a worn out baby pushing pussy some other guy didnt want. for a girl its some guy that will always put his son or daughter first over you. thats life . id rather date a gay man than a single mother again. Its no damn wonder so many democrats abort their little bastards. its usually a rape/incest baby anyway.
I've been in serious relationships with two single mothers in the past.
It can't be denied that kids complicate things. If the parent is involved in their kid's life - and would you want to be with a person who wasn't? - you're not so much having a relationship with one person, but with a parent and the kid(s). And you have to accept that a parent's primary responsibility should be to care for their child and try to make their life as positive as possible.
The age of the child(ren) does matter. Most toddlers will basically get along with anyone who isn't a total ass with them. As kids get older, the potential for drama increases. The kid may resent the intruder in their life, or they may refuse to engage because they've seen too many people come and go in their parent's life. Sooner or later discipline is likely to come up, and that's always a minefield with step-parents.
