I'm starting to think glasses are a conspiracy that prevents the population from seeing the world differently and naturally. Everything would look more squished and horizontally distant for me if it weren't for my freaking glasses. Oh, what I could have been.

Why should that even be considered?! My girlfriend has learning disabilities, should I put up a poll to see if I should stay with her?

Or is it an advantage? Think about it.

I don't date guys at all, but if it was a gal, being "hard-of-hearing" wouldn't turn me off. Though I suppose they could "turn me off" if they got tired of listening to my verbal diarrhea.

Its a learning experience. Have you seen switched at birth. Baye dates a boy with a hearing aid. So what. Just because someone has a disability doesn't mean they are retarded or something.... That's like asking someone if they would date some one with red hair. Everyones so about appearances. It sickens me. Yeah I understand you have to be attracted to someone to an extent... But really. Does dating someone with red hair make you desperate. Does dating someone skinny or over weight make you desperate. No it does not. Does dating someone with, glasses make you a nerd. I don't see any issue with dating someone with a disability....

Anyone that has a problem with that has a serious personality problem.

How many hearing aids? If someone is wearing one or two, then fair enough, but if someone has six hundred glued to them, I'm going to need to ponder what they're up to.

I'll just put this bluntly. Yes. And anyone who wouldn't just because of a disability.. Shame on you.

Only real issue would be that I have a rather low voice and it actually annoys me if I have to talk louder in order for people to hear me so ... I honestly doubt that I'd be able to even hang out with him without having issues.

BUT if he has enough hearing/aid for this so that we can have a normal bloody conversation= NO issue.

What the fuck? Stop being so judgmental. Just because hes hard of hearing does not make them a bad guy. Shallow fucks like yourself do not deserve a partner. You realize that you are going to be old one day and you are going to be some combination of wrinkled, deaf or blind. You wont be so judgmental than will you?

The OP never stated their stance on the matter. How do you know the OP isn't in fact the guy with hearing aids, trying to get an opinion?

Haha yeah I'm the one with the hearing aids. Guess I posted this because I got a bit self-conscious.

However, everyone is answering my question in a roundabout way :p

I don't think you should date him. If you really cared about the guy you wouldn't take his disabilities into account when making this decision. Especially such a minor one.
