Would you change the world in this way?

A big red button appears in front of you. If you press it, every single person in the world is converted to your way of thinking.
Your religous/non religious views.
Your stance on social issues like abortion, capital punishment.
Your opinion on what should be done to fix this world as you see fit.
The people keep their individuality, and are unaware of what you have done. Everybody just wakes up with a new collective motive.
And, the effects are irreversible.
Are you perfect enough to act as a template for all of humanity? Or do you think this would turn all others into robots?

And how do they maintain their individuality? While my opinion is clearly great, I enjoy a good discussion, a challenged viewpoint, and different ideas. To remove that, progress would come to a hault.

If we all became like DocileDragonair *cough cough Lesley* the human race would be extinct in 42 minutes.

If the button didn't change their eclectic tastes, personal preferences or personality quirks and only changed their social/moral ideals like you said, then, YES! The world would be a better place, not gonna lie.

I'm not perfect by any stretch, but I'm satisfied with myself enough to appreciate certain qualities of myself that I sometimes find in others. I'd hate a world of me-clones who thought exactly my thoughts when I thought them because that'd be just like being absolutely alone. I love the fact that this world is full of people with free will and individuality, but I admit I would love to get rid of hateful, bigoted thoughts and opinions.

imo i think you have the wrong website but none the less i ll give my 2 cents.

it would be tempting to change the world to my liking so that way id be "normal" but id probably get bord with it as i like change .

but if i change the orld to my liking and i was rich, powerful and good looking then yes i would push the button but i might regret it later on

Um, no. I know how I think, and I don't want others to think the way I do. Vengeance through social physiological warfare by way of bi-lies in whisper is a big part of me that people don't know about. Though I know how to dish it out, I know little about defending myself against it as I have met few others like me. If everyone thought the way I did, the world would be thrown into a spiral of destruction.

Plus there would be no new tv shows, videogames, movies, or books because everyone would just think of the same thing and write about it...

If everyone had my apathetic way of thinking, the world would probably come to an end pretty quickly, so no.
