Would it be normal to believe in these rules and wear these clothes?
I'm choosing (though it's expensive) to wear Christian clothes and a Christian hat (traditional wear), the type in plain humble black clothes with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath and a plain humble black hat, i.e. a certain bowler hat, and it symbolizes 1. that you're ranking low in a hierarchy or scale (having less), and 2. that you're modest and unpretentious with no pleasures and luxuries, by 'modest' I mean "small or limited in size, amount, or aim", in other words the Christian clothes I endeavor to buy symbolize humility, it also, as humility, symbolizes that you have a low opinion of yourself and are unassertive. This by some Christians, though it's not compulsory, is done on moral grounds, the point is to look like that Christian boy on 'Children Of The Corn', my mother doesn't understand it, and said it was the Devil. It also symbolizes that you're honest and spiritually cleansed. The rules of Christian Science are: 1. don't be selfish, 2. don't have pleasures, 3. be kind, 4. have mercy, 5. have justice, 6. don't have revenge, 7. don't have wrath, 8. be humble, and 9. have love, to name a few rules, the result of this, like primitive Christianity, is similar to some of the rules of Catholicism. It's in order to enrobe myself with righteousness, to cleanse, in order to get in heaven, is this normal?
