Would it be frowned upon to meet up with someone and have sex during quarantine? About a month ago me and my boyfriend of 5 years broke up right before the quarantine. We had sex a few times a week and this is the longest I’ve gone in a long time without it I’m so horny. I’ve been talking to this guy I knew in high school and he wants to “pick me up” and go park somewhere. I’m quarantined and out of work so I haven’t been around people and he’s still working but only is around the few people he works with. Can anyone tell me is this a bad idea?? :(

    He’s probably been around the people he works with AND the other random women he’s sleeping with. If he’s doing it with you he’s doing it with others, don’t make the mistake of thinking you’re a special case.

    To answer your question I wouldn’t risk it.

      This reminds me of that old saying about how when you have unprotected sex with someone, in terms of sexually communicable viruses, you're also effectively having sex with everyone they've previously had unprotected sex with, everyone all those people had unprotected sex with before bonking your current partner, and so on, ad infinitum.

    It's alright to meet up with ONE person for sex, if you trust that person with your life and the lives of your loved ones and the people you see every day. It should not be some random clod you've been talking to.

    Pick someone you've known for a long time, who others you trust have known for a long time - someone who is single and following the rules of your quarantine - and ask that person if they would like to have a casual fling for the duration of the quarantine.

    Then inform anyone you have regular contact with that you're making this arrangement so they have a chance to put their contact with you on pause, and be sure your prospective partner does the same. This way you are only adding a single connection to a closed system, and others connected to either of those closed systems have an opportunity to bow out first. Please don't involve yourself with someone who is working or whose household objects or must be kept in the dark, even if you view those people as not vulnerable. In some regions up to 40% of people hospitalized for this virus were not considered vulnerable.
