Would i be a prude by today's standards?

Just curious.

My parents consider me a prude, and being 18 years old that says something. I always dress modestly, with full length skirts or pants always, long sleeve shirt or jacket always, nothing cut low enough to show collarbones, nothing see-through or overly tight (it has nothing to do with religion or any other reason, I just don't think people should be seeing too much skin). I missed my prom because I could not find a dress that was not too open. Though I don't force them to, I tell my friends to dress the same.

I am asexual and have never been in a relationship with anyone of any gender. However, I don't like it when people display their affection for their boyfriend or girlfriend in public, and I always skip past kissing or sex scenes in movies.

No, you're fine 44

I think it becomes prudish when you start telling your friends how to dress, but I think everything else has an element normality. Some people feel more comfortable dressing in a way that doesn't attract attention, and you seem like one of them. A lot of people don't like public displays of affection and while some people consider that prudish it's also completely normal to feel uncomfortable (I think most people feel that a bit), especially as you're asexual.

Would you be considered a prude by today's standards? Yes.

Is that actually a problem? Probably not. Live your life how you want to.

I wouldn't suggest trying to encourage your friends to dress the same as you though. They most likely have different objectives as they're probably not asexual and different goals call for different methods.

It means you are very conservative. No I do not speak of the political party either. If your friends are dressing with a cut so low boobs are flying out I think that be normal. Dont let anyone change you. I was always very uncomfortable around people who showed a lot of skin. Since this is actually how my family is too. So first time I saw a women with a low cut top I just avoided her. The standard of today is fuck everyone you can without a care in the world. Do you really want to be part of that?

It's a bit on the prudish side yes, especially for todays standards. Most people would bve comfortable wearing a T-Shirt, and colllarbones are pretty normal to see too. But if it makes you comfortable, then go for it!

(You probably shouldn't even suggest things like that to your friends though, it may make them feel irritated or just bad about themselves.)

  • Super prude/conservative. You sound like a muslim or an Amish girl or something. Not to insult you, or Amish/Muslim people, but its not normal. Do what makes you happy, if you disagree with how western society views sexuality that's fine

It is OK, actually you sound a lot like me. I also don't like to see people kissing in public but they have a right to do so. I just feel annoyed, that's all.

Nothing wrong with being a prude and keeping your sexuality to yourself and all that. Don't be adverse to affection though. Affection and romance and love are all happy things that make the world a happier place.

People being lovey in public, to me, is like putting a wonderful piece of art on display. Everyone can appreciate it but everyone also reacts to it differently. My reaction is always a huge smile and laughter. I love seeing people happy with someone else.

Sounds a lo like me! The only exception is probably the clothing bit since I like showing off my tattoos.

teenage girls today are sluts, and guys are whoremongering swagfags. the exception to this is much smaller than you would like to believe, consisting mostly of asian girls and asian guys. and me, i may be a horny bastard, but i don't go around fucking every girl who happens to have her legs open at the time.

I'm exactly the same, I would never wear a t-shirt that shows my collar bones, and I would never show my legs, I also often wear Hijabs, or something like it because I feel its disrespectful to show your hair, but I still wear makeup and do bad things, but I just think girls should respect their bodies and not just be all the other girls...
