Of course there are plenty of white men who have married black women, because they were in love with them!
There are some beautiful black women through the ages and now; Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Lil Kim, Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, and others. Some very influential black women too like Oprah, Michelle Obama, and Whoopi Goldberg.
I read a report based on data from OK Cupid, about how attractive men and women of different races found each other. And as you probably suspect, black women came up a little short. (For men, it was Asians who were least liked.)
Speaking for myself, most of their faces look too masculine for my taste, there are some exceptions though.

Honestly, it boils down to personality, values, and how she treats others. If she's a jerk: it doesn't matter if she's black, white, asian, or anything else; I'm not going to get together with her. Of course, the opposite is equally true. I'd date a lady of any race if they're a good, moral, and kind person.
I've found through my experiences that black women are an acquired taste. Unlike White, Asian, or Latina women, black women are either very ugly or very attractive, there is hardly any middle ground like there are for women of other races.
I am white and would definitely marry a beautiful, kind black woman! Many black women are stunningly beautiful!
