World's worst food & beverage combos?

I just finished a nice dinner of tacos, and was planning on hitting the bottle in a bit. My drink this evening? Vodka.

That got me to thinking, tacos and vodka, it doesn't sound very good when you say it out loud, does it?

Of course, after pondering for a moment, I thought of some far, FAR worse combos based more on animosity than taste!

Coors beer sucks, it wouldn't go good with anything.

Even though the OP has explained the actual meaning of the post, I'm dumb and totally didn't see it, so I'm gonna take it at face value and go with a gross combination I remembered my cousin doing (credit to Capy for all her milk ones making me remember). My cousin used to alternate spoonfuls of Vegemite (disgusting in itself) with mouthfuls of milk.

Just reading the ones with the milk put a horrible taste in my mouth.

HOWEVER, milk and a grilled cheese or macaroni and cheese is delicious.

I have a weird taste for foods. Coffee and cake actually tastes good to me especially if the coffee is sweet. I will dip the cake in the coffee and everything. The other option that you mentioned is fried chicken and beer. Fried chicken and beer is something I would do on a regular basis. I LOVE chicken and beer. I think Ludacris, the rapper, even made an album with that name. Bon apetite.

My brother eats cake and juice it's really weird because the sweetness of the juice and cake are a different type of sweetness you just end up with a tasteless meal.

  • Guys!! Guys!! You're not following me here!!

Matzo ball soup is Jewish, Jagermeister is German....(remember Germany's history with Jews?)

Cheeseburgers are very American and Kamikazes fucked with us in WWII....

Poutine is a Canadian mainstay and no Canadian would ever be caught dead drinking an American beer (Budweiser)

    Is it clear now?

Quiche and Limoncello is pretty grim. Eggs and lemon and cheese don't sound great and there's all kinds of chances of curdling. Outside of that, my personal choices would be:

    Chocolate cake and beer
    Garlic prawns and strawberry liqueur
    Mushroom vindaloo and Pernod
    Pad Thai and Guinness

For some reason this reminded me of a soup I saw at the store yesterday. Potato, cheese, and beer. A great combination of flavors. I can't really think of anything bad to go with that.

I don't think it matters if the curdling happens in your stomach. Just don't put the food and the beverage in your mouth at the same time. Then again, I've never had Limoncello.

I think I could do chocolate cake and beer if it was with a dark beer. I can never actually finish a beer, though (too filling, too many calories), so that might be a problem. I think there are recipes for chocolate stout cake, actually.

Alternatively: skip the food and just drink the booze.
