Shave your ugly goatee off, throw it into a deep pit, burn it and never grow another of those disgusting, worse-than-Hitler monstrosities!

well if you increase your metabolism i guess it does make a difference. Btw i work out alot for many years now and my hairs grow very f-ing fast on all of my body. My hairs grow 1'' every 2 weeks... I think it does have something to do with it.

I think there must be some other reason why ur facial hair has changed. Maybe you have only just noticed the change and attributed it to working out. Maybe you are at an age of rapid growth/thickening. Maybe it's just ur mind playing tricks on you. Be sure not to jump to conclusions. Maybe u could devise a scientific experiment. Spend a month working out and shaving regularly. Measure your hair growth accurately every day and find an average. Spend a month not working out but shaving regularly and measure ur hair growth every day. Find an average and see whether it's significant by comparison. Have your friends repeat the entire experiment. Find the average of your results combined. :D I'd be surprised if working out had that effect. I run a lot and since I started I have not noticed an increase in the growth rate of my hair.
