Wondering if my aunt is, like, dead or something?

OK. I'm concerned about my aunt but I don't know how to ask because...it's kinda rude...but the only reason I noticed anything weird is because she always sends me a birthday card like clockwork but this year I didn't get one. If I ask about her then I'm going to look like an asshole because of why I noticed (no card). But I am concerned. Should I ask or just shut up and wait till Christmas?

If you think I should just ask then please help me with how to phrase it so I don't look like a complete jerk.

    Ask someone how she is doing because you didnt get a birthday card...and your concerned.

        No you would sound that wsy if you got upset because there was no card...
        but if you express your concern for the well being of your aunt you wont sound bad.

    Talk about christmas presents and when you ask what they are getting your aunt see what they say.

    Ask them, "How's (your Aunt) doing?" That way you can check to see if she's okay without having to be too blunt. You don't have to tell them why you're asking. Just kind of throw it in there next time you're talking with them. Almost like small talk.
