So when I'm masturbating, occasionally (more like a 1 / 4 chance, honestly) when I orgasm, I see vivid, flashing imagery. These images contain of things I see in nightmares, and horrible things I remember (I.E The Holocaust, terrorism, ect). I haven't spoken to anyone about this. Is this normal?

    The French call orgasms le petit Mort, or the little death. You should read up on what happens to the body biologically during an orgasm. It is physical ecstasy for most of us, but for some, not much. You could be extremely sensitive and more terrified of those things than others and during something as intense as an orgasm when you're exploding from the inside out, your mind pushes those images to the forefront in a sort of frenzied panic or something.

    Thankfully, my mind goes blank during an orgasm and mostly I just scream.
