Women, how often do you cry?

I just saw the "Men, how often do you cry?" poll (I didn't make it) and I was pretty surprised at the answers. Last time I checked the poll, most said once a year followed by not having the urge since they were a child. Personally, that shocks me.

Most would say women cry more and/or are more emotional, but really it varies from individual to individual.

So, I was wondering - how often do women cry? And over what?

    I only cry when something terrible happens. I sometimes get the urge to cry when I'm on my period but I usually don't do it. The last time I cried really hard was when my horse died. I still cry if I think about that too much.

    I cry all the time. Sometimes, I'll be laughing so hard, I can't stop the tears from coming.

    I rarely cry from physical pain, but if I'm extremely angry or watch an emotional video or movie, I'll usually cry. The last time I actually had a legit, sobbing cry was last year when I had my dog put down and he died with his head in my lap.

      I feel your pain :'( I was holding my horse's head when she was put to sleep too. At least she wasn't alone when she passed.

        It's definitely hard for us to handle, but we owe it to our awesome animals to make sure they're not alone during those last moments of their lives.

    I developed this nasty habit recently...
    I'm not a crier by any stretch of the imagination..
    But somehow my brain decided that I will start crying during every Romantic Comedy I watch :|
    Like what the fuck? You don't even wanna know how hard I cried at the end of '27 Dresses' :|

    I only cry before my period, while stuffing my face with anything and everything. Sitting there watching reruns, unable to sleep, wearing an oversized track shirt, muttering to myself. Sometimes I paint my toes or sit in the bath fill it with bubbles and give myself a bubble beard and pretend I'm gandalf or santa.

    I really only cry when my mom is screaming her lungs out at me or when I have to drop my boyfriend off at the airport.

    In my heyday when I was young and my social life was blossoming, there was on average one party every fortnight and these parties were always punctuated by the same girl crying, always around 3/4 of the way through them, close to midnight.

    I cry pretty much daily recently most likely because I'm in my 3rd trimester and I had to put my kitty down..it's been 4 weeks and I still get emotional :/

    Lately it's been pretty often. What I cry for varies. Sometimes it's over a guy I still love, other times it's over my sister, or sometimes it's when I get horrific menstrual cramps like I did today.

    If I'm off my meds,multiple times per week. On meds, rarely like if something sad actually happens.
