Women get hit on at supermarket with kids in tow?

OK this isn't mine but it was recently brought to my attention by a woman I know, she says this happens all the time and finds it annoying as f*ck. Can't say I blame her.
Is it normal for women to get hit on at the grocery store or whatever WHILE they have their kids with them?
I sure as hell hope not. Come on, guys, have we no class? I think that's one of the sleaziest things a guy can do. What is it, a display of confidence/power? Hows about an utter lack of tack/class/courtesy/chivalry? Shutter...

    ok.... just because we hit on a lady with kids doesnt mean we have no class, it could mean we are emotionally responsible to take on a kid or 2 in our lives. and just because someone has a kid doesnt mean they are married, i see no problem. grow up imo

    What is she wearing to attract this attention? Most mothers I know are running around in sweatpants and spit up covered shirts with wild hair.

    LOL where does she shop? no one hits on me in the supermarket. Maybe her kids are cuter than mine, ask her can I borrow one :D

    Is she wearing a wedding ring? Is she good looking?

    Men are kind of dumb, and may think that if you have kids, you are single [how many moms are?], are lonely, in need of a man, looking for a husband, etc.

    Many men think ANYONE is fair game, and the erosion of manners in this country tell me many people have no problems with boundaries...

    If he is truly interested, he should find a decent way of expressing it, and she should not be offended, knowing it is his only way to let her know.

    as a mom with four kids, and the crazy hair and sweat pants. i wouldn't mind being hit on in the store at all. the constant scheduling and routine can be boring and down right stressful.just as long as you don't act like a douchebag! ha ha

    There are many single mothers out there with dead-beat dads, it's not necessarily fucked up, but I would understand the frustration.

    I never hit on women who have kids with them. Kids = possible husband/boyfriend. In the rare case, she might be a single mother, but I don't consider it worth the risk.

    Supermarkets are hot dude. That and the 'Single Mom' syndrome... C'Mon! Mind you, it really depends on the isle in my books: Produce&Cash=Fair Game, Dairy=eeeNot so much (unless its by the ice-cream of course) :-)

    I sincerely apologize in advance for what i am about to say.Unfortunately we live in a time that nobody respects the fact that these Ladies are Mothers.I work in a nightclub and i see these T-shirts that say MILF. There is not allot that can be done about it because most of these,MILF,s ask for the attention.Motherhood is still sacred to some,but not all.I feel the same way you do.
