With age comes...?

Is it normal that the older i become, the more medical flaws i get? Like, i understand that your health goes down when you are a senior, but for a guy my age, (18, definitely not 15), i think it is rather weird to notice that you are getting medical issues.
For example: When i was still a 'kid'-kid, i never had any troubles getting up from my chair after a long streak of sitting down, now however, i get dizzy a lot.
Another example: Pain in the back after sleeping, which i never had before, but recently started.
I could probably give a lot more examples, but the point is, there are so many little things, at my age, that kind of make me wonder if its normal to be noticing it.

Am i the only one? Share your toughts please

Without wishing to be unkind or rude, do you know what hypochondria means? You are eighteen!! Stop worrying, and enjoy being so young!

Did you just call me old?!?!?! You whipper snapper!
Maybe you just stand up too fast from your chair. Maybe you sleep weird on an old lumpy mattress. I don't think there's cause for alarm just yet.

I have this too! You probably need to start drinking more water since you get dizzy. And you might want to check and see if your mattress is worn out, that's probably where the back-aches are coming from.

All genetics (and some lifestyle!). Some people go through life seemingly healthy and others easily suffer, whether they are 1 years old or 100 years.

I'm 26, I have a back of a 50 year old! (genetics & DIY accident dog got in the way scenario). Slip Disc/Arthritis/Muscle Atrophy and Nerve Damage in my legs. (And mys social life has seriously suffered from it)

Best advice the surgeon ever give me is to keep moving! When I started out from this, I couldn't bend or walk more then a few paces without sitting down, get out of bed or do anything for myself....now I'm a dog walker doing 4 walks a day living independently!!!! My health is not perfect with daily pain and all that but I've learnt to enjoy life and make the most of what you've got.

To help you feel better about your health, Learn to stretch your muscles - a Physio will help you with this, exercise (swimming and Pilates recommended but loads to chose from) eat well, stay hydrated, have fun and be positive. You can still have fun binge drinking, clubbing, concerts etc...but looking after yourself aside that will make you feel tons better. Have fun!
