When you die, will you donate your body parts to a hospital? Or will you die with what you were born with?

    I will donate my dead skin when falls off but thats as close as I'm getting. Ok may a toe or 2 but THAT is all.

    I want them to take everything they can use. In the meantime I donate blood all the time.

    I don't understand why (at least here in Aus - unless they changed it) even if you have an organ donor card, in the event of death, it's still up to your next of kin whether your organs get donated. What's the fucking point?

    But yes, I have an organ donor card.

      I'm not sure about Aus, but there have been some horror stories of unscrupulous undertakers selling (sometimes rotten/diseased) body parts for large profit and subsequently mutilating the bodies they are entrusted with.

      Meanwhile the undertaker says "we don't need no stinkin organ donor cards. OOh look some gold teeth, get the pliers!!!"

      Personally, you can throw my corpse in a fucking ditch. But If I'm paying someone to take care of a job...well you know. It disgusts me what some folks will do for a buck.

      So that's why there's laws like that.

        Can't say I've heard of it happening here but it wouldn't surprise me. There are sick fucks all over the world.

        I still don't think that has any effect on whether organs can be harvested in the hospital after death, though. I've consented and registered, why does my next of kin get that decision thrust upon them when I die? I've already said yes :/

    I've got an organ donor card too. They can take what they want when I'm dead. I sure won't be needing it anymore, so someone else might as well take it if they will.
