Will my laptop get heavier if i put more files on it?
I am a little too scared to download things off the internet because if I download too many my laptop might get too heavy and crash through my desk.

If your laptop uses a hard drive, no. If you laptop uses a solid state drive it might get lighter! This is because a "zero" is stored in flash memory by charging the floating gate in a transistor with electrons. Since empty storage was most likely initialized to zero, writing files to it will change some of the bits to one by removing electrons and thus reducing the weight.
You can use PKZip and compress the files. That will make them smaller and then compress them again and keep doing that until the file is only 2 bytes long and then you can just write it on a notepad and erase it from your computer.
