Wife stealing husband's money,do people still have this mentality?

A female friend of mine told me that her boyfriend would never marry her because his past girlfriends stole his money, thus he's basically assuming that every woman will steal this money. I find this argument to be illogical as not every person is the same, and if your partner really loves you, they wouldn't do such a thing. Besides, women nowadays are surpassing men in school (at least were I'm from) and usually have higher paying jobs. Therefore my question is, do people nowadays still think that the wife is after her husband's money?

    There will always be scummy gold diggers..both female and male. Like you said not everyone is like that, but there will always be selfish inconsiderate people as long as there are people.

    Once burned twice shy. It's not fair but if one person is screwed over by someone they will be less inclined to put them self in that position again. I don't agree but I can understand it.

    My loser ex says this all the time, although he is the one who repeatedly cheated and screwed up my credit by charging stuff on my credit card for his girlfriends.

    To answer your question, yes. However, greed is not just seen in women, but in men too.

    Your female friend is stupid for dating a guy who is prejudice against women over past betrayal that has nothing to do with her.
