Why should everything revolve around money?
Everything revolves around money these days and I'm fucking sick of it. I realise money is absolutely 100% nessecary to survive, but that is literally as far as it should go. Having more money than someone else isn't something to brag about, and having less of it is not something to be ashamed of.
Yes, its great to be financially well off enough to be able to provide for yourself (or others), but swimming in your own finances like some rich prick should not be something that appeals to people and yet, people continue to focus on money way more than they should.
I've noticed that some people only view another human being as a valued individual if they are on their way to some fancy career earning a 6 figure salary every month, as if the only kind of people who deserve to live are those who "contribute financially". So fucking what if someone doesn't have some really fancy career and has their own apartment and car and shit.
I know so many good, kind hearted, decent people who are unemployed. I also know a lot of scumbag drug addicts who have great jobs and earn loads of money. Life is NOT about money, and I'm fucking sick of people thinking you're only a valuable human being if you make a lot of money.
