Why is plastic surgery normal?
I can pretty much guess that my position on this matter isn't normal but I wanted some feedback...
(this isn't meant to offend any recipients of plastic surgery either.)
I am a middle aged female who is opposed to plastic surgery. I too would like to be beautiful with big knockers, flat stomach, and trim thighs but if it was achieved through plastic surgery, it wouldn't be real (that is, it wouldn't be how I'd look naturally). And that's the problem as I see it, i guess: most people today tend to value what's plastic over what's natural, believe explicitly or implicitly that beauty should be valued above all else, and teach children, directly or indirectly, that individual esteem comes primarily from ones ability to physically attract another. We are cutting ourselves up to look like everyone else! What's the deal?
