Why is my co worker ignoring me and avoidng me when i say hi........?

A year ago I pointed that this co worker had put on so much weight in front of other 2 workers.I don't know why I said that as I just say whats on my mind.I wasn't trying to be hurtful. This type of comments are common in my culture. I didn't think much of it until she told me that she was very hurt by it. I apologized and she seemed fine around me afterwards but she wasn't as friendly and warm before the incident .She will respond whenever I say hi to her

Now months later,i say hi to her whenever I see her but she now ignores me and avoids me.whats the deal

    I think we should start a weekly Captain Obvious Award on IIN. For those that don't know, Captain Obvious is a character on TV commercials for some travel website. He makes some pretty funny and painfully obvious observations in the commercials. This post gets my Captain Obvious Award nomination for this week.

    It sounds like she doesn't really like you all that much. She is not required to. Not everyone will be your friend, just let it go.

    While I think she's a ninny for being hurt by your insensitive comment, it makes sense that it changed how she thinks of you. You reap what you sow.

    she might be very hurted from inside because of you. i would suggest you to talk with her and make everything clear. so that neither you will burn from inside nor she would.

      I read that in South Korea they will tell you if you look tired or a bit fat but it's not meant as an insult.
