Why is my co-worker acting distant now?

One of the females at my work who works in different department was quite friendly with me.Then one day she offered her number to me without me asking and told her to text her.I was cauht off gourd so I took it just to be polite.She is nice, but totally not on my radar as a romantic interest at all.

So the next day when I saw her I made up an excuse and told her that I lost her number and broke my phone while playing soccer.This was a lie because I couldn't bring myself to tell her that i'm not interested. I didn't ask for her number again.However,now she seems distant and not as friendly.She smiles and say hi,how are you when I ran into her but nothing beyond that.I also hardly see her around now.I used to run into her often before the incident

Did she get the picture that I'm not interested
