Why is it different?

If a girl enjoys lesbian porn and even says she doesn't find the fact of kissing other girl repulsive, people think she's just another straight woman.

If a guy enjoys gay porn, he's automatically seen as bi/gay.

I don't get it people! ヽ(`Д´)ノ

One theory is that sex between women isn't taken seriously because there's no penis involved, so many people don't even see it as real sex (little do they know!).

Lesbian sex hasn't been illegal in most countries, whereas male homosexuality was historically reviled and criminalised.

Civilised societies are finally moving towards a time when no-one will cares who's fucking with what gender .... may it be soon!

LOL, I didn't knew that. It makes no sense, why would it be criminalised?

Happily they are. Times and minds are changing. We hope! :)

Because a lot of guys are homophobic but at the same time fetishize lesbians. They like to think that girls are into girls, but want them to still like them as well.

Yeah, unfortunately that's right sometimes. But I'm not even talking about judging or something. My point is: why do we see things in this way? Why can't a straight guy like gay porn as well? if this makes sense lol

I think there's a study where men and women separately watched heterosexual porn, gay porn, lesbian porn and animal sex.
From what I remember, the straight guys basically only got turned on by watching hetero sex. But the straight women got turned on by everything.

So, if that's true (you'd have to double check - I could be wrong)....
then the attitude you describe is actually pretty accurate. If a guy gets turned on by gay porn, then he's probably not straight.

Personally though, I don't think it's fair that male sexuality is so easily questioned/doubted, but the fluidity of female sexuality is just accepted. It is a double standard.

I was waiting for a answer like this! I just wanted to understand why is it normal for a straight woman but not for a straight man. I mean, it had to be some reason, ahah.
I read on a website that is possible for a straight guy to like it and still be straight, but not likely.
I guess you answered my question. Thanks:)

That's alright ;) Like you say, A straight guy could like it and still be straight. I think people are too quick to make that judgment sometimes. Like, if someone says they're gay/straight/bi, just take it at that (even just out of respect/politeness).

Maybe men and women share the same idea of beauty?

I wouldn't consider myself bisexual but bi-curious at least and I have no interest in male gay porn. I'm positive theres more bisexual men that are letting on but I don't think straight men are anywhere near as comfortable or appreciative of the same sex as women are. It's not always a social issue.

I'm sorry, it's 3am and I'm just having one of those crises where you wonder about everything, like what's the meaning of life and stuff like that lmao.

I do that about once or twice a week.

I think women are the more appealing of the sexes. I can only see from a male point of view but I don't think straight guys ever wonder what their sweaty friend tasted like. Woman are softer, more presentable.

I'd kiss a dude but that's all I've ever felt interested doing, maybe it's the same for girls?

Guys are more prideful so we couldn't be seen doing anything like that unless we were offically out as bi or gay.

I always thought any guy who would kiss another guy on the mouth would also perform oral on him. Otherwise, what's the point even? You've already broken the "homo" barrier. Everybody just wants to have fun and feel good. Once you've gone so far as to kiss, why stop?

          I understand.

Really, just a kiss? Yeah, I can't deny that lol. I've felt curious and I actually kissed a my best female friend when drunk just for fun and out of curiosity. We barely kissed, though, because we were laughing so much haha. I felt nothing as I expected and, of course, never felt desire to do it again.

Yup, seems like you guys are. But that's probably also because guys know they'll be judged, more than girls are. It's sad but hopefully times and minds will change ^.^

      You might be right.

Yeah, I agree with you. That's definitely true. So do you think straight guys (those who don't have any interest in having gay experiences) aren't even able to appreciate guy on guy porn?
Like, there's something in their brain that can't find it enjoyable or at least, not repulsive? Or do you think some can be ok/neutral with it?

I think we should give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but sadly it's something few people ever do.

It's an unfortunate double standard. I wish it were more accepting for men to experiment. I wouldn't think any less of a fella if he did watch some guy-on-guy.
