Why is he with her? why won't he see me?

We never really broke up. I moved and he moved on. When I came back to visit we texted all the time but never got together. The reason? He has a new girlfriend which prevents us from spending time together. She would be upset.

When I asked about her he said he didn't like her that much. She is obnoxious, and not very attractive. He also has said how much he misses me. I think he just wants a girlfriend and I am not here.

I do care for him and someday I intend to move back home. But why won't he see me?

    Don't ever believe a man when he bad-mouths his girlfriend or wife. If he didn't care about her, he wouldn't be with her.

    Why won´t he see you? - Maybe because he is in a relationship with his new girlfriend and it is just reasonable that she or he might see you as a threat to his new relationship. Would you be happy if your new partner wanted to see his ex who still wanted him and did not like you?
    Why is he with her? - Only he knows the real reason. You can be right that he wants to have a girlfriend where he lives. What was his attitude to your decision to move? Might it be that he interpreted it as a signal that you do not care for him and that he was not your priority?
    As for the poll options, I did not choose any of them because all of them are possible and can be true at the same time.

    He sounds desperate and cowardly if he is with someone who he doesn't even like. You shouldn't waste your time with him. He doesn't sound like he should be in a relationship for a while.
